Tamotsu Fujii for MUJI

Posted: September 27th, 2007 | Author: Yanda | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Recently I have been reading up on the simplicity in every design and no certainly, the works and concept of MUJI, Ken Hara, Basestation and Visvim would be coming to my mind.

Take a look at MIT Media Lab’s John Maeda talking about Simplicity for TED conference anyway.

Here we have is a MUJI 2003 campaign by Tamotsu Fujii taken from the Salt Lake at Uyuni, Bolivia and the prairies of Mongolia and they were also awarded Tokyo Art Directors Club (ACC) award.

Chris Ferebee

Posted: September 24th, 2007 | Author: Yanda | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

An artist as well as a designer, Chris Ferebee divides his time between furniture/product design, photography, mixed media and graphic design. Self-taught in all these disciplines, Ferebee was born in Virginia Beach in 1971 and grew up a part of skateboard and surf culture where he takes much of his inspiration. Along with punk and post punk music/graphics, and artists like Rauschenberg, Twombly, Beuys and others, with interests in science and technology, Ferebee’s work is as eclectic as his varied influences.

ASHLEY ISHAM SPRING/SUMMER 2008

Posted: September 20th, 2007 | Author: Yanda | Filed under: Singapore, Uncategorized | No Comments »

Announcing in his notes that he was mixing “the hedonistic abandonment of the Seventies with a modern, futuristic twist,” Isham’s strongest looks were the shift dresses and tailored shorts-and-jacket combinations that boasted clever folding at the front to create elegant pleats that added interest and movement. High waisted skirts with subtle fishtails and one silver foil dress screamed late Seventies glamour.

Oh yeah he’s a Singaporean and London based.
